Gosport Borough Cricket Club 

Gosport Borough Ladies Cricket team will resume winter training at Brune Park Community College Sports Hall on Monday 6th February 2012, 7-8pm. 

Ages: Open to all women aged 14+

Cost: £3 per session

No experience necessary - all ages and all abilities very welcome.

It's fun, friendly and a great way to keep fit!

Hampshire & IOW Sports Awards 2012 

You only have a few days left to nominate someone / a club for this years Hampshire & IOW Sports Awards 2012. The closing date for nominations is this Friday,  27 January 2012.

 

The awards reward and recognise commitment, performance and excellence across all sports.  There are 17 different award categories which include:

Parasport

Parasport is a joint initiative between the British Paralympic Association (BPA) and the professional services firm Deloitte.


Parasport aims to make it easier for members of the public to take up disability sport by providing information about sports and sporting opportunities in local areas. 


Parasport is for everyone, regardless of whether you want to participate recreationally or competitively. Maybe you want to take up a sport in order to get active, or maybe you have ambitions of representing Great Britain... Whatever your aim, Parasport can help you find a local club so that you can get involved.

BHF Round the Harbours Bike Ride 2012

The 2012 British Heart Foundation Bike Ride 2012 will be this year on Sunday 10th June 2012.
The 35-miles travels between Gosport, Southsea, Havant and Fareham.

Starting from one of our 4 locations and cycling around the perimeter of some remarkable natural harbours and through some fascinating countryside.

Gosport start and checkpoint - Stokes Bay, opposite number 2 battery. 

The cost to take part in this years years event is: 

In advance - Adults £15.00 and Child £7.50

On the day - Adults £20.00 and Child £10


You entry fee covers the cost of running the event, it's your sponsorsip money that will help save lives.

Run England 

Local running groups organised by Run in England group leaders have been set up in all parts of England. Find a group near you by logging onto www.runengland.org


We're making running available and accessible for everyone, with running groups being created for women and mixed gender, schools, work places and families. Our programme is about helping you to exercise every week no matter your age, shape, size or ability. There are groups for you to run with being created all over the country and trained Run in England group leaders to support you through those first steps - all at your own pace with no competition. So why not become a member and join us for some fun in a safe and social environment, and you can join with friends, family or colleagues.

Coaching Hampshire & IOW

Coaching Hampshire & IOW are pleased to announce that courses are now available to book as part of Coach Education Month (March 2011).


We are offering a heavily subsidised rate and all courses which are part of Coach Education Month are ONLY £15 EACH!


There is a great variety of topics including Sports Nutrition, Performance Analysis and an Introduction to FUNdamentals of Movement.  Look out for more courses coming your way on coaching and education and long term athlete development.
