Safeguarding Children and Adults

Gosport Borough Council is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Safeguarding is about protecting vulnerable people from abuse, neglect, poor practices and exploitation. We work in partnership with a range of organisations to achieve this.

The Council has its own safeguarding children and adults policy and guidance for employees, councillors, volunteers and contractors to enable them to have a better understanding of their safeguarding role and what they need to do if they have concerns. Child and adult protection is the function of children and adults services at Hampshire County Council and safeguarding concerns are referred appropriately to them.

If you are a member of the public with a safeguarding concern, please use the contacts below to raise your concern.

If you think a child or vulnerable adult is in immediate danger you must call 999 for the police.

If you think a crime has taken place call Hampshire police on 101.
