Our two key programmes to improve employment and skills in the borough
The Economic Prosperity, Tourism and Culture team works with the Gosport Employment and Skills Partnership and other partners to improve employment and skills outcomes for local residents.
Employment and skills initiatives that the team are currently involved in include:
- staging the The Gosport Employment and Skills Fair - Gosport's largest annual recruitment, careers and training exhibition - to help Gosport residents get jobs locally
- implementing Employment and Training Plans (PDF, 355 KB) with developers and new occupiers of employment sites and premises to maximise opportunities for Gosport residents
