What happens to my application?
When your application is received it will be checked and if any details are missing it will be returned to you. If the form is complete we will add you to the waiting list and write to let you know this.
How will I know what garages are available?
When a vacant garage arises, we will use direct lettings instead of a bidding system to allocate the garage to whoever is at the top of the waiting list, if it is in their chosen area. Applications will be dealt with in strict application date order.
If you have outstanding housing debt you will be expected to clear this before you are allocated a garage.
How will I know when I have been successful for a garage?
When you are in a position on the waiting list to be offered a garage, we will contact you by phone or email to make an appointment for you to come to the Town Hall to sign up for the garage tenancy.
My details have changed - who do I inform?
Of course it is important for you to inform us promptly if your contact details change as if we do not get a response to our call or email when you come up for a garage offer we may move on to the next customer. Please contact the Business Support Team on 023 9254 5682 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to advise us of any changes.
