What a great place to go for a walk with plenty of routes and different terrain.  Don't forget to take your binoculars there's plenty of wildlife to see.

Some highlights...

Sandhill...  literally a high point.. the highest point in the Borough with views over the Solent and the
Isle of Wight.

Apple Dumpling Bridge... the bridge crosses the River Alver  where you can watch the ducks.

The Wildgrounds represents one of the few remaining unspoilt woodland pastures in Hampshire and is now a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

West of the River Nature Reserve Contains a variety of interesting habitats including the reedbeds.

Carters Copse This is a wooded area which includes a motte and bailey, which is the oldest known fortification in Gosport.
