Football Pitch Renovations

The football pitches maintained by Gosport Borough Council are renovated annually at the end of each playing season.

The renovation works involve rotovation of worn areas, application of top dressing to level out surfaces and sowing grass seed.

Some goal mouth areas will have fences erected to protect the grass seed as it grows.

 Dates:

•  End of March - Goal post removal and renovation work commences at Privett Park.

•  The 3rd week in May  - Goal post removal and renovation work commences at Brookers Field, Elson Recreation Ground, Stokes Bay, Lee Recreation Ground, Howe Road/Griffin Walk, Nobes Avenue. 

 NB  In the event of inclement weather sowing of grass seed may be delayed.
