Local Plan 2011-2029 stages

Submission Stage

The Borough Council submitted the Local Plan to the Government for examination. All the Local Plan evidence documents can be viewed at Local Plan Evidence studies.

Examination Stage

A Planning Inspector examined the Local Plan, details of the examination can be found on the examination page.

Modifications Stage

The Inspector issued a Preliminary Findings Letter. The Council prepared a Main Modifications Schedule to address the matters raised in the Inspector's letter.

Inspector's Report

The Inspector issued the  Inspector's Report (PDF) [230KB]  on the examination of the Local Plan.

Adoption Stage

The Council adopted the Local Plan as set out in the adoption statement. A post examination amendment to the Sustainability Appraisal in respect to the Gun Boat Yard part of the Haslar Peninsula Regeneration was made. The sustainability appraisal was updated to reflect this change, details of this change can be found on the Sustainability Appraisal page.
