Gosport Borough Council Leader Cllr Peter Chegwyn said: "Gosport has a fantastic business community which is essential in helping to grow our local economy and create jobs and opportunities for local people, a key priority for the council. So we are delighted to be supporting these awards, which will rightly recognise all sectors of local business, from small independents and start-ups to retail and tourism and those showing their commitment to sustainability."

"We have just completed another successful Business Excellence Awards with a sell-out evening at The Guildhall and we are delighted to be bringing that focus right into the heart of Gosport by teaming up with the St Vincent College, the borough council and 22Midnight to launch Gosport Business Awards 2024."

St Vincent College Principal Andy Grant said: "We are really excited about this opportunity to highlight the many fantastic businesses in our town. We work with a number of employers, both large and small, and have long thought that they should have the chance to shout about themselves and to give people a chance to appreciate what they do.

"The awards aren't just about the big employers, we want to celebrate the small businesses and shops who are there day in, day out for the community and who go the extra mile to make life better for their clients and customers.

Interested in sponsoring the awards?

Gosport Business Awards is a not for profit event with all sponsorship income used to make it a great experience for all involved. It will showcase the very best of the local business community and by being a sponsor you can help make it happen.

By doing so you are not only raising your company's profile locally but also helping to support those that are shortlisted and ultimately win the awards to do the same. With a number of the awards focused on Gosport's independent small business community this will make a real difference to those individual businesses that take part.

There are two levels of award category sponsorship available that include logo branding on print and online advertisements and editorial coverage; quotes in the pre-event editorial campaign; video pre-roll advertisements; advertisement and editorial content in the Winners supplement; presenting a selected award; and tickets to the event. All non-event related sponsorship elements will be published in The News, with event promotion featuring sponsor recognition also undertaken via supporting partners' online channels.
