Development Control is primarily concerned with the processing of planning applications and applications for advertisement consent, breaches of planning control and the provision of general information and advice relating to individual development proposals.

How to view planning application details registered after 30 September 2003, view planning application related documents registered after 31 March 2005 and submit comments on-line
Planning Policy is responsible for the preparation of planning policy documents including the Development Plan. The Borough Local Plan Review is adopted and work has commenced on the new Local Development Framework for Gosport.
Conservation and Design deals with matters relating to the Borough's built heritage, principally: Listed Buildings, Scheduled Ancient Monuments, Conservation Areas and Historic Building Grants. In addition selected implementation projects, generally relating to urban regeneration, are also part of this section's role.
