Summer Passport

Gosport Summer Passport is a well-established initiative organised by Gosport Community Safety Partnership which began in 2008. The scheme provides free, open access diversionary activities for young people of secondary school age living or attending school in the local area.

Summer Passport 2023

We would like to thank all the young people who attended this year's scheme and every business, organisation and volunteer who helped support another fantastic summer of activities including First Bus who provided free bus travel during the duration of the scheme and Hampshire County Council's Holiday and Food programme grant funding.

Participants enjoyed a huge range of free activities including paddle boarding, cooking, swimming, crafts, henna, ice skating, inflatables, fishing, driving and the ever popular colour run.

2022 Summer Passport

A massive thank you to all the young people who participated in this year's scheme!

A whole host of free activities were enjoyed during the scheme including the various crafts, tie-dye, swimming, ice skating, inflatables, fishing, driving and the ever popular colour run.  This year saw the return of sailing, DJ Small Paul and Henna and new activities including cake decorating, aerial and drumming workshops and yoga.

Participants were able to get to some of the locations thanks to free bus travel provided by First Bus and food was provided at each of the sessions as part of provision funded by Hampshire County Council's Holiday and Food programme grant.

2021 Summer Passport

Following the Coronavirus pandemic, an amended version of the scheme was successfully delivered.  Just under 600 young people signed up to the programme, with a variety of activities taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 27/07/21 - 19/08/21 at various locations across the Borough.  Free bus travel was provided by First Bus and a number of activities were provided by local organisations including Lee on the Solent Sailing Club and Motiv8, along with Phoenix Driving School who co-ordinated free taster driving sessions.

Last year's Summer Passport scheme was part funded by Hampshire County Council's Holidays and Food programme grant as part of a wider approach to co-ordinated holiday provision. The Let's Get Connected project brought together a number of organisations who provided activities for young people across the Borough during the summer holidays and was co-ordinated by Gosport's Local Children's Partnership.
