Changes to the Imagination Refinery on Gosport High Street

Gosport Borough Council is working to keep this community space on Gosport High Street open, following the Makers Guild's announcement in January of their intention to leave the premises at the end of February.

Imagination Refinery on Gosport High St
The Imagination Refinery was set up in 2023 by local arts organisation Makers Guild, as part of the High Street Heritage Action Zone programme funded by Historic England.

As well as arts workshops and events, community use of this space has expanded to include use as a co-working space and 'digital hub'. The digital hub has provided local organisations with digital marketing skills and business support training, and residents have access to free IT equipment and skills training.

How to use this community space

Moving forward the Imagination Refinery will remain open for community use. You are welcome to use this space for:

  • Coworking or remote working - bring your own laptop or use the computers available, enjoy free wifi, and get work done, free of charge
  • Creative events - if you want to hire this space for a creative event or workshop, contact karen.loneragan@gosportcab.org.uk or call her on 07725480889
  • Digital skills training - drop in and speak to us about how we can help with day-to-day online tasks such as banking, accessing the NHS app, looking for a job or helping children with homework, or contact us on karen.loneragan@gosportcab.org.uk

Tuesday - Friday, 10.00am - 4.00pm

Saturday - Monday, closed (apart from events)
