FREE - The Make Their Day Exhibition format is a mash-up of a craft fair meets a Gallery Exhibition to show that galleries and art is for everyone and that art takes many forms. It is to show Galleries are fun places where you can make and create as well as look.

Art is for everyone.....visit, see, create. Lots to see and do for children of all ages from 1 to 100.

Alvestoke Garden Walkabout from 1pm - 5pm

Alverstoke residents are opening their gardens to visitors.  Over 20 Interesting private gardens and allotments await your visit in Alverstoke, situated on the Hampshire Solent.  The seaside microclimate allows palms and exotic plants to thrive together with mature shrubs, while ponds, model railways, aviaries and garden art make the Walkabout a must visit event.  Who doesn't enjoy a good look around other people's gardens?  Treasure hunt in each garden.  Plant sales and refreshments  so bring cash!  The Parish Centre will be open for toilets and teas, strawberries & cream and you will be able to view the plans for the proposed new Parish Centre, for which this event is raising money, charity number  St Mary's Alverstoke PCC, 1130178. Pimm's tent at Parish centre. The ticket consists of a programme listing all the gardens, a stylised map of their locations and information on upcoming fundraising events.

HMS Collingwood Open Day @ HMS Collingwood, Fareham from 9.30 - 17.00

This unique family event, which showcases the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) Field Gun Competition, will also offer many fun-filled family attractions, with entertainment and displays designed to capture the imagination of everyone, whilst giving an insight into HMS Collingwood, Defence Training, the Royal Navy and other Armed and Public Forces. There will be Interactive Zones for hands-on activities and parts of the establishment will be open to visitors, allowing them to see the Royal Navy's training equipment and experience some training first hand, including navigating a ship into harbour in our Warship Bridge Simulator. The 2023 RNRMC Field Gun Competition looks set to have one of the strongest field of entrants in recent times. 2022 winners, HMS Seahawk will be looking to retain the Brickwoods Trophy and be crowned the fastest crew of 2023. This year 20 crews from Royal Navy establishments, including HMS Prince of Wales and RAF and Army units from as far away as Cyprus, Naples and Stavanger will test their mettle in 'the toughest sport in the world'.  Military personnel give up months of their own time for nothing more than camaraderie and an almighty challenge: racing a Victorian cannon against the clock to win the coveted 'Brickwoods Trophy' and have the bragging rights of being the fastest crew in the military.

Monday 24th - Friday 28th July

Stubbington Study Centre - Sports Course - from 10.30am on Monday to 1.15pm on Friday

We are very pleased to once again offer children in school years 4 to 6* the opportunity to stay overnight at our respected and long-established centre, to take part in our very popular Sports Course which will run from Monday 24th to Friday 28th July 2023 (*Years 3 and 7 conditionally accepted, please contact us to discuss.)

During the course, children will receive coaching and take part in games and competitions in approximately 20 different sports... from netball, football and cricket, to frisbee golf, wheelchair basketball and lacrosse. With opportunities to complete our 'Earthquake' activity, enjoy our adventure playground and Games Room and even visit the hide to go badger watching, our course offers a variety of active, inspiring and fun experiences. Our emphasis on 'teamwork', 'respect' and 'responsibility' helps to ensure that everyone has a great time and grows in confidence.

The week is led by experienced staff, many of whom are qualified teachers with a background in sports.

The fully catered week offers 3 hot meals a day, plus supper and refreshment breaks, and even includes the chance to sample our famous 'Stubby Biscuits'!

Stubbington Study Centre - Summer Day Camps - from 8.30am- 4pm

This year we will be offering children in years 3 - 6 (during academic year 2022/23) the opportunity to take part in our Summer Day Camps . Our Day Camp activities are planned and delivered by qualified teachers and experienced outdoor educators. These activities will take place within our secure 14 acre site that has been welcoming Primary school aged children here for over 80 years!

Each day of our Day Camps will have a different theme giving children the chance take part in a wide variety of activities. You can sign your child up for individual days, or for the whole week*.

Note: A sandwich lunch will be provided to children along with refreshments and snack during breaks: all included within the cost.

Activities:

Monday - Outdoors and Creative - creating, making and building for and with nature

Tuesday - Exploring Nature - getting out and about in our grounds and looking at the world around us

Wednesday - Survival Skills - including bushcraft skills and first aid

Thursday - Outdoor Challenge - Problem solving and working as a team

Friday - Outdoors and Active - taking part team building activities and sports

Cost: £32 per day or £150.00 for Mon-Fri bookings

The |Gosport 5K Summer Series

Join us for the popular Gosport 5k Summer Series which returns in 2022 with a five race series.

The race offers a fast, out and back promenade run using an accurately measured 5k course, ideal for beginners and experienced runners alike.

This series consists of five races taking place on the second Tuesday's in April, May, June, July and August. You can enter each race individually or save money and buy a three or four race season ticket.

If you purchase a five race season ticket you will gain a free souvenir technical t-shirt.

There will be a Children's 1k sprint at each race at 6.45pm which will be chip timed!

The main 5k race follows this.

Medals for all finishers plus prizes for race winners and winners of vet categories 1 to 7, plus a special series prize for the 1st male and female.

Series points are based on your best three results.
