What's On In Gosport 2025 - events guide

The What's On In Gosport Guide 2025 is in the process of being compiled and will be available on line and in hard copy from 7th April 2025.

We are currently going out to event organisers for their input to make this guide as comprehensive as possible for al the great events that go on in Gosport from April through to December.

If you have an event you would like to be included please use this form  Entries to Gosport - Programme of Events 2025 to submit your entry - deadline for entries is 21st February 2025. 

If your event is before April then please let us know by completing this form Local events and we will add it to the list below.

Any questions on this then please email events@gosport.gov.uk and we will do our best to help you.

ON-GOING EVENTS

Tea Dance @ Thorngate Halls, Bury Road, Gosport

Ballroom, Latin and popular sequence dance on the largest sprung floor in the area. Tea/coffee/biscuits at half session break, included in the price. All standards welcome. Dance to music by Pauline.

Knit and Knatter Group @ Harbour Cancer Support Centre, 2 Stoke Road, Gosport

Have you been affected by cancer? Would you like to support or need support from a group? Do you like crochet, knitting, sewing... We would like to invite you to join our Knit and Natter Group. 

12pm - 3pm

Free - donations are welcomed

Coffee Mornings @ Christ Church Hall, Stoke Road, Gosport

Come along to our coffee morning, come and meet like minded people. We are a cancer charity so we offer support to people who are going through cancer or who has lost a loved one. You can meet others going though a similar situation. Come along and make friends. Our coffee morning is open to everyone.

10.30am - 12.30pm

Free - although we do ask for a small donation to cover tea and coffee costs

Gosport Home and Well Hub - Nimrod Community Centre, 17 Falcon Meadows Way, Gosport PO13 8AA

We are delighted to announce that alongside SGN Energy we will be facilitating a Home and Well Hubs in Gosport every month for the next 2 years.Working in partnership SGN and The Princess Royal Trust for Carers will bring together a large network of local community partners to proactively support carers with tailored support services across Hampshire that help to tackle fuel poverty and introduce energy safeguards that help those most vulnerable maintain a safe and warm home.The partnership is designed to work alongside the Home and Well partnership in Hampshire, providing proactive and preventative support services increasing the support available to carers and those they care for. The shared ambition is to reduce the potential impact on the NHS service and prevent hospitalisation for high-risk people as a result of living in a cold and unhealthy home.The Home and Well Hub is a 'ONE STOP SHOP' for Carers. It is a central point where many agencies come together to offer support, advice, information, and guidance to all Carers. Carers can access relevant information to support their needs, and the needs of the person they care for.A selection of newspapers is available to enjoy at the Hub and we also provide crossword puzzle books, games, and jigsaws for the Carers and their cared-for. Light refreshments are also provided. Carers can enjoy a healthy lunch and their cared-for are most warmly welcomed.

Stubbington Study Centre Day Camps

28th July - 8th August (Mondays - Fridays) - 8.45am - 4.30pm

We are offering children in years 3 to 6 (during academic year 2024/25) the opportunity to take part in our Summer Day Camps. Activities are planned and delivered by qualified teachers and experienced outdoor educators and take place within our secure 14 acre site that has been welcoming primary school aged children here for over 80 years. We will be offering two weeks of Day Camps. Each day of each week will have a different theme; giving children the chance take part in a wide variety of activities. You can sign your child up for individual days, or for whole weeks (subject to availability).

Cost £34 per day or £155 for Mon-Fri of the same week.

REPAIR CAFE GOSPORT

Residents of Gosport bring their broken items to fix them on the spot with the help of voluntary repairers. Events run on the second Saturday of every month (except August), between 10:30am and 1pm, at the community maker space in Quay Lane, Hardway we are on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/repaircafegosport Supported by Hampshire County Council

A FREE service but donations towards running costs are encouraged.
