We were overwhelmed with the amount of entries we received and we know there are also many more events in the planing stages. If you would like to feature your event on line and it's not already in the guide please let us know by using this link complete the form and if it is approved we will include it in the list below.

Walkies Charity Dog Walk @ GAFIRS Stokes Bay
From 2pm
After such a tremendous success in 2023, Walkies is back and going bigger than ever before!
Walkies is an event organised by Trevor Sorbie MBE & his wife Carole Sorbie, to raise vital funds for My New Hair Charity & The Guide Dogs Association. The event is a mile-long walk along Stokes Bay sea-front culminating in a BBQ at the Alverbank Hotel with lots of fun & canine oriented games & stalls. There is live music from Amy & Matthew Sackman, an incredibly luxurious raffle & some incredible motivational speakers as well. We will also be welcoming CB Canine Care, who will be holding a Q&A for all your dog questions.
The event will start at GAFIRS where the Mayor & Mayoress of Gosport will start proceedings - the walk will take on the beautiful shoreline of Stokes Bay.
Cost £20 per person - you don't need a dog to attend!
Saturday 6th July
HMS Collingwood OPen Day @ HMS Collingwood Fareham
From 0930 - 1700
This unique family event, which showcases the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) Field Gun Competition, will also offer many fun-filled family attractions, with entertainment and displays designed to capture the imagination of everyone, whilst giving an insight into HMS Collingwood, Defence Training, the Royal Navy and other Armed and Public Forces. There will be Interactive Zones for hands-on activities and parts of the establishment will be open to visitors, allowing them to see the Royal Navy's training equipment and experience some training first hand, including navigating a ship into harbour in our Warship Bridge Simulator. The 2024 RNRMC Field Gun Competition will yet again see a range of crews from across the UK and beyond, competing for the coveted Brickwoods Tropy, with last year's winners, HMS Seahawk, hoping to win again! This year there we will see a special visit from the Raiders Parachute Display Team, a Military village, together with many fairground rides including the dodgems! Our children's area will see a petting zoo, inflatables attractions, pirate ship and so much more, all FREE OF CHARGE!! This year we will also be supporting local businesses, encouraging them to showcase their produce at our event - #supportlocal!

Baby and Child First Aid Class @ Lee on Solent Community Centre, Twyford Drive
From 10.30am - 12.45pm
The class is perfect for anyone that is expecting or has a baby/child and wants to learn some vital first aid skills without being overwhelmed with technical jargon. It's great for new and expecting parents, plus family, carers, friends and activity providers. I believe first aid should be informative, yet simple and fun to learn. Hopefully, my reviews speak for themselves! There are no scary videos or forced role play in my classes its all very informal and friendly.

We are delighted to announce that alongside SGN Energy we will be facilitating a Home and Well Hubs in Gosport every month for the next 2 years.Working in partnership SGN and The Princess Royal Trust for Carers will bring together a large network of local community partners to proactively support carers with tailored support services across Hampshire that help to tackle fuel poverty and introduce energy safeguards that help those most vulnerable maintain a safe and warm home.The partnership is designed to work alongside the Home and Well partnership in Hampshire, providing proactive and preventative support services increasing the support available to carers and those they care for. The shared ambition is to reduce the potential impact on the NHS service and prevent hospitalisation for high-risk people as a result of living in a cold and unhealthy home.The Home and Well Hub is a 'ONE STOP SHOP' for Carers. It is a central point where many agencies come together to offer support, advice, information, and guidance to all Carers. Carers can access relevant information to support their needs, and the needs of the person they care for.A selection of newspapers is available to enjoy at the Hub and we also provide crossword puzzle books, games, and jigsaws for the Carers and their cared-for. Light refreshments are also provided. Carers can enjoy a healthy lunch and their cared-for are most warmly welcomed. Residents of Gosport bring their broken items to fix them on the spot with the help of voluntary repairers.
