Street collection

Street collection

Do you know whether a charity collector at your door or standing in front of you on a street is genuine and that the money is going to the charity - not the collector?

Working with the Charity Commission and other local authorities, we licence House-to-House Collections, and Street Collections in public spaces and areas. Although a charity does not have to be a recognised charity registered with the Commission, we must be happy a charity is legitimate before granting a permit. Regulations state 'an application is required to be made in writing to the licensing authority normally not later than the first day of the month preceding the month in which it is proposed to hold the collection'.

PLEASE CONTACT THE LICENSING TEAM TO CHECK THE AVAILABILITY OF COLLECTIONS DATES AND MAKE A PROVISIONAL RESERVATION FOR YOUR COLLECTION DATE BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION FOR A STREET COLLECTION PERMIT.
