The High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ) is a government funded scheme delivered by Historic England.
Selected as one of 68 locations, Gosport Borough Council in partnership with Hampshire Cultural Trust (HCT) secured funding of £1.78 million to implement a four year multi-project programme across Gosport High Street and Stoke Road conservation areas.
Through these projects, Gosport's HSHAZ plans to transform disused or underused high street buildings and establish new creative, cultural, residential and commercial opportunities.
We want you to join us on this journey and help make Gosport's HSHAZ a success. There will be a range of opportunities for you to get involved, from working with HCT on creative exhibitions for Gosport Museum and Art Gallery, contributing ideas for the new training hub and co-working spaces and developing our historic alleyways programme.
With Gosport's local heritage and character at its core, it is hoped the HSHAZ will become a catalyst for further investment and regeneration across borough. For an overview of the current projects please see:

Place making consultancy 'The means' has been selected via open tender to support delivery of the Cultural Development Strategy and will be engaging with wide cross-sections of the community plus key stakeholder groups to develop a 10 year roadmap for the expansion of arts and cultural activities within Gosport.
