New-look market to help Gosport town centre regeneration
19 September 2023 - Gosport's high street market is to be revamped - with more stalls, entertainment and special themed events. A new operator has been brought in by Gosport Borough Council, with the aim of bringing in more traders, boosting the market's popularity and introducing new ideas.
Stoke Road festival - another great summer event
12 September 2023 - The free Stoke Road Community Festival in Gosport on Saturday 16 September will be a celebration of the arts and the local community, with craft activities and entertainment throughout the day. The event will run from 10am to 4pm. Stoke Road will be closed between its junctions with Willis Road and Elmhurst Road from 6am to 6pm.

15 August 2023 - A Gosport council flat has been boarded up after neighbours reported drug deals, violence, fires and late-night disturbances that left them afraid to go out after dark and scared for their children's safety.
Summer in Gosport events continue - with weather changes
4 August 2023 - Our programme of free summer events is rolling on, but with changes to tomorrow's schedule following forecasts of bad weather. Tomorrow sees more free family entertainment in the town centre from 10am to 3pm, with face painting and Punch and Judy, plus Freddie the saxophonist at 2pm. Weather forecasts mean the sessions will be now hosted in Gosport Museum and Art Gallery (GMAG) with planned go-kart sessions cancelled. Our Arts in the Parks programme of free events was due to kick off tomorrow with live music at Bridgemary Park. This event will also now happen at GMAG instead, with international vocalist Aled Price performing pop classics at 10am.
Summer in Gosport: big weekend of free fun coming up

A packed programme of free family entertainment gets under way in the High Street. And model yacht fans will be celebrating a major milestone with exciting displays of racing.

Property revamps brighten up town centre
25 January 2023 - A project to revamp historic buildings in Gosport town centre is bringing colour and creativity to the area. The project's flagship scheme is the restoration of the Royal Arms Hotel's distinctive facade, which is now almost complete. Historic buildings elsewhere in the town centre have also had their frontages restored or have gained decorative handmade signs.
