Free Park Yoga launches for Gosport residents

Park Yoga has officially launched in Gosport, giving people and families a fun, free way to get active and meet new people all summer.
Sessions will take place every Sunday morning in Walpole Park (south) from 9.30am to 10.30am, running until 14 September. All sessions are free and suitable for all abilities, from complete beginners to experts.

It's been made possible thanks to a partnership between Gosport Borough Council and Love Outdoors CIC, and funded by a council community fund grant.
More than 70 people took part in a fun-filled first Park Yoga in Walpole Park on Sunday 4 May and it's hoped the morning sessions will continue to grow in popularity.
Gosport Borough Council Leader Cllr Peter Chegwyn said:
"This is an excellent partnership with Love Outdoors that will help improve the health and wellbeing of people in Gosport and provide a fun activity for people to get involved in.
"We use our grant funds to improve the lives of our residents in all sorts of ways, so I'm delighted it's created such a great outdoor event like this."
Emma Kemp, Director of Love Outdoors CIC, said:
"We are thrilled to have partnered with Gosport Borough Council to bringing Park Yoga to Walpole Park all summer. It's exciting to bring this amazing opportunity for regular outdoor activity to Gosport residents. Look for the flag and see you every Sunday morning!"
Visitors only need to bring a mat or towel, some water and sun cream and join in.
A dedicated Park Yoga Gosport Facebook page has been created so people can keep up to date.
