Nominate your Gosport Citizen of the Year

It's that time again to nominate your Gosport Citizen of the Year and Junior Citizen of the Year.

Nominations are open as Gosport Borough Council once again searches for those who selflessly give up their time to help others, work tirelessly for their community, fundraise for charity, or just really deserves recognition.

There's also a Junior Citizen of the Year with nominations open for under-18s - perhaps someone who does lots for their school or group, helps those less fortunate or cares for others and deserve some recognition.

Gosport Mayor Cllr Richard Earle said:

"The first Gosport Citizen of the Year award was awarded more than 30 years ago. We are again looking for nominations for residents who have shown exceptional service to their community, voluntary sector or people outside of their family. If you know someone deserving, please do nominate them."

You can find an online nomination form to complete on our website, or for a paper form email democratic.services@gosport.gov.uk or call 023 9254 5340.

Nominations must be submitted by midnight on Monday 31 March 2025. The winners will receive their award at the borough's annual mayor making ceremony on Wednesday 14 May 2025.
