Council to hold public meeting on Gilkicker

Gosport residents who would like more information about the Fort Gilkicker development can come to a public meeting in the new year.

The meeting, held by Gosport Borough Council, will give residents a chance to question senior council officers.

Work on the site, by its owner Fort Gilkicker Developments Ltd, has affected public access to the area.

Debbie Gore, the council's head of planning and regeneration, said: "We understand what an important issue this is for many residents, and are happy to hold a meeting where people can find out more. We'll do our very best to answer residents' questions."

To help make the most of the time available on the night, residents can email questions to the council in advance.

The meeting will be at 6.30pm on Monday 8 January at Thorngate Halls, Bury Road, Gosport.
