Alver Valley Play Overall Area

The Alver Valley Country Park: Proposed New Major Play Area.

Work has started on an exciting new major play area at the Western Gateway at the Alver Valley Country Park, close to Cherque Way in Lee-on-the-Solent.

It will include:
•    A younger children’s play area for the under 5s; and

•    An older children’s play area. This will be broadly zoned into two areas, one suited to the 5-9 age group and one suited to the over 10s.

•    There will be a range of activities suitable for children of all abilities.

Artist impressions of some of the key features can be found here.

The play area has been designed by Wicksteed  and it will also be built by the company.  The design takes into account comments made as part of the amazing public response we received as part of our earlier consultations.  In all we received 861 responses.

Work has started in earnest following planning permission being granted in May 2017.

Further details can be viewed here.
