Gosport Community Alarm Service and GDPR

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new, European wide law that replaces the Data Protection Act 1998. It places greater obligations on how organisations handle personal data. For more details click here -> (Information Commissioner's Office)

GDPR is enforceable from 25th May 2018.

What do alarm customers need to know about GDPR?

The new regulations give you, the customer, more rights to be able to ask organisations about what information is held about you and to control what organisations do with that data.

At Gosport, we already ensure your data is up-to-date by carrying out annual checks. You can also be reassured that your data is stored securely and confidentially.

To ensure we are complying with GDPR we have updated our Privacy Notice (link here) and updated the service terms and conditions.
