55+ Info Fest and Winter Warmth Event

The annual '55+ Info Fest and Winter Warmth Event' is organised by the Council and Gosport Older Persons Forum and is supported by a wide range of local organisations and groups.  This year, the event takes place on Friday 20th October 2017 at 10am until 3pm, at Thorngate Hall, Bury Road, Gosport.

The event provides an opportunity for people to find out about local services which support older people; gain expert advice on staying warm and well during the winter months; and also find out about social and learning activities in Gosport.  More than 50 organisations or groups will be represented as part of the exhibition or demonstration areas.  In addition for 2017, Age Concern Gosport will be offering the chance to discuss the importance of putting 'end of life and future care plans' in place as part of their Dying Matters project (funded by the National Lottery).

The event is free to attend and free refreshments are provided.  Visitors are invited to pop in any time between 10am and 3pm and stay as long as they would like - no booking is required.  Parking is very limited at the venue but is on a main bus route.  To avoid disappointment, please make plans to come to the event without using your own vehicle if at all possible.

Queries should be directed to Donna Simpson, Health & Wellbeing Partnerships Officer via email or on 023 9254 5421.
