Find a new career at free employment fair
Local people can find a new job, an apprenticeship or some training at a free event next week.
The Gosport Employment and Skills Fair is at Gosport Leisure Centre on Friday 24 March from 12pm to 6pm.
Held by Gosport Borough Council, it's the area's largest annual recruitment, careers and training event. This is the first time it's been staged since the pandemic.
The fair is a chance for residents to find out about local job and apprenticeship vacancies and career opportunities. Local full-time, part-time and apprenticeship roles will be on offer, in the public and private sectors.
The fair is an opportunity to meet and talk directly to employers about working for them. You can also meet local organisations that can help you into employment, self-employment or training courses, and give careers advice. Some of these organisations are also recruiting - offering full-time and part-time jobs, apprenticeships and volunteering roles.
Cllr Peter Chegwyn, Leader of the Council, said: "This is Gosport's largest exhibition of its kind and it's great to have it back after a two-year break. The council is delighted to be able to continue to help local employers and residents come together under one roof."
