The Borough Council is revising the current Local Plan 2011-2029 in order to take into account changes in Government policy and forthcoming site releases.
The following supporting documents are currently available:
The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the timetable for preparing the Gosport Borough Local Plan 2036.
Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how the community will be consulted on the Local Plan, other planning documents as well as planning applications.
The Council is currently inviting those with an interest in the Borough to put forward sites which may be suitable for development. This call for sites is part of the plan making process and helps to ensure the Council is aware of all potential sites that may be available for development considerations. The Council is also interested in hearing about sites where it is considered that the current land use should be retained.
If you would like to put forward a site, or a number of sites for consideration please complete theform which can be downloaded and emailed or posted to the Planning Policy Team.
If you would like an informal discussion about this process please contact the planning policy team at 023 9254 5216.
Please be aware that nominating a site will not automatically mean it will be included in the plan. All sites put forward will be assessed through an appraisal process.
Further details of the Local Plan 2036 including the plan preparation time scale will be included on this page in due course.
The draft Local Plan will be supported by a number of evidence studies and Background Papers.
