There are plenty of places for a peaceful walk, or you can stroll through the Alver Valley Country Park with its thriving wildlife. Why not go sea fishing, or play adventure golf?

You’ll find Gosport’s a great place to visit - and to live!

We have three marinas, making us the busiest sailing destination along the entire south and south west coastal regions.

We’ve a fascinating Waterfront Trail that links the Royal Navy Submarine Museum to Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower, taking you alongside busy Portsmouth Harbour.

You can step back in time in the living re-enactment of our 17th Century Village, or enjoy our summer carnivals and annual rock & pop festival, and our September Michaelmas Fairs. Or visit The Crescent in Alverstoke village - a fine example of Georgian elegance.

There are plenty of shops, pubs, places to eat and places to stay.

And if you are thirsty, we have our own Oakleaf Brewery offering brewery tours and tastings of Gosport’s very own fine ales, which are available in local pubs!

And don’t forget our Tuesday and Saturday markets.

If you want to go a little farther afield, then Portsmouth’s dockyard with Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory and famous Spinnaker Tower, with its magnificent views, are just 7 minutes ferry ride across the Harbour. And the Isle of Wight is a short hop across the Solent by ferry, catamaran, car ferry or hovercraft.

The New Forest, Southampton and the cathedral cities of Winchester and Chichester are all a short drive away, making Gosport an ideal base to explore the region.

So come to Gosport and see for yourself - you’ll be glad you did!
