Want to know how to carve that pumpkin face for Halloween? Then come along to Grange Farm on Sunday 28 October and immerse yourself in the surreal world of Pumpkins and Squashes.
The weather has been ideal for growing these horticultural balloons this year, with the rainy summer swelling the gourds to some amazing shapes and sizes.
As well as some experts for the pumpkin carving demonstrations, there will be pumpkin refreshments, a special ‘spooky’ squash treasure trail, story telling, children’s activities and pony rides. In fact a real family fun day out at the farm!
Grange Farm nursery will also be open with a wide range of quality winter bedding plants on sale and, a special feature of the day is an exhibition to mark the 20th anniversary of the Great Storm of 1987.
So come along and share your memories of that windswept night and see for yourself some of the great oak trees, felled by the storm, but still thriving in our local woods.
The event kicks off at 2 pm and runs until 4pm. Admission is FREE.
