Don't Forget To Take Those Trees For Shredding

If you’re thinking of taking the decorations down, now the festivities are over, then don’t forget, if you’ve invested in a fresh tree take it along to the Tree Shredding Day this coming Saturday, 6 January, and ensure it’s put to good use.

Gosport Borough Council is arranging to shred Christmas Trees at four locations across the Borough this coming Saturday. The sites are:

·         Beach Road car park (Lee on the Solent)
·         St Helier Road car park (Priddy's Hard off heritage Way)
·         Stokes Bay Road car park (Next to Paddling Pool)
·         Nobes Avenue playing field (opposite shops - Bridgemary).

Just bring along your tree between 8.30am and 12 noon to one of the sites shown.  The trees will be shredded, composted and turned into soil conditioner, meaning nothing goes to waste, a great way to begin 2007 and help the environment.
