Junior Wardens Wanted to Have Fun in Brigemary & Holbrook

To encourage recycling and to give local youngsters something to do during the forthcoming half-term holiday, Gosport Borough Council are organising a fun recycling event at Holy Trinity Church, Gosport.

Junior Warden Teams from White Lion Walk, Seafield and Beryton Road in Gosport are already taking part in the event, but more children are required to make up the numbers for a Holbrook/Bridgemary Junior Warden Team.

Junior Warden Teams meet regularly during the school holidays to do projects which benefit and improve their community. As a reward they also get to go to events and on trips organised by the Council.

If you are aged 5 to 15 and live in the Bridgemary or Holbrook area and would like be part of the Junior Warden Team, then call the Resident Involvement Team on FREEPHONE  0800 328 6958 now!

Children taking part in the event will be able to find out how recycling machines work and even get the chance to operate a mini material recovery facility.  There will also be the chance to produce some fun art work out of recycled materials.

The event takes place on Wednesday 21 February from 10.30 to 12 noon. Free transport will be provided and, if you become a Junior Warden, you may also get the
chance to go on further visits or trips organised to take place during future school holidays.
