On Friday 24 August, Gosport Borough Council is holding a ‘Celebration of Youth’ event at the Holbrook Recreation Ground, Gosport.
Organised by the Council’s Community Safety Team in partnership with the Police, the day aims to showcase the skills gained by the young people who attended various projects and workshops held during the Summer Holidays at Elson, Lee-on-the -Solent and Bridgemary. These included: Football Frenzy, Busta Move Skateboarding, Busta Move Dance and Mix n it up (DJ workshops).
The day will run from 10am to 4pm and will include:
- Football tournament hosted by Pompey in the Community coaches
- Skateboarding demonstration and competition hosted by Rubicon Skate School
- Dance workshops with Carrie Ann Sait
- Climbing Wall
- Last Man Standing inflatable game
This FREE event is open to all young people aged 11-17, not just those that have participated in the summer activities. All they need to bring is a lunch, if they are staying all day, (refreshments will be available to buy on site) and the appropriate clothing and footwear for whichever activity they wish to take part in.
