A meeting of the Licensing Sub Board, held at the Explosion! Museum today, has been adjourned as a result of independent legal advice with regards the potential perception of pre-determination given that a Member of the Sub Board had taken part in a previous decision which may be perceived as being linked to the application.
The meeting took place at the Explosion! Museum and the Councillor concerned, Councillor Dave Smith, made the decision to withdraw in order to ensure the decision is made in an open and transparent manner and not subject to any subsequent allegation of bias.
The Licensing Sub Board meeting will be reconvened at Explosion! Museum on Tuesday 24 June at 9.30 am.
