Are you doing anything next Sunday? If the answer is not a lot, then how about taking part in the popular ‘British Heart Foundation Harbour Bike Ride 2007’ which is being held on Sunday 10 June.
Gosport cyclists can start from the car park opposite No. 2 Battery at Stokes Bay anytime between 9am and 10am on Sunday. But the Mayor of Gosport, Councillor Keith Gill will ‘officially’ start the Gosport leg of the ride at 9am in the car park, Stokes Bay.
Riders can have their maps officially stamped and collect their ticket for the Gosport/Portsmouth ferry at Stokes Bay checkpoint before setting of along the 32-mile route. Checkpoints will be manned from 9am to 5pm on the day.
The ride, which will take around 4 – 5 hours to complete, will take in some of the most scenic parts of South Hampshire, including top attractions, viewpoints and picnic spots, so why not take a nice lunch to enjoy en route or when you have completed your ride.
You need to be reasonably fit and in good health to take part. If you have a medical condition or are in any doubt about your health you must consult your doctor before participating.
