On Friday 5 February, forty contract workers went to the Town Hall to receive their Level 2, Cleaning and Support Services NVQ certificates from the Mayor of Gosport, Councillor Diane Searle.
Training for their NVQ was carried out by Nordic Pioneer Limited at the Council's Wilmott Lane Depot.The extra training will enable Council contractor, Enterprise PLC, who are responsible for everything from cleaning toilets to planting borders and roundabouts, to continue keeping the streets of Gosport cleaner and greener for residents to enjoy. Joining the Mayor in the Council Chamber for the presentation were Councillors: - Mark Hook, Leader of the Council and Graham Burgess, Chairman of Community & Environment.
Whilst congratulating everyone on their NVQ achievements, the Mayor also thanked Enterprise staff for their hard work and dedication during the recent adverse weather conditions, when they worked tirelessly clearing pavements and roads of ice and snow.
