Hit Training Ltd Scoop Top Business Award

Organised by Gosport Borough Council, the 2009 Gosport Business Awards’, showcase the achievements of all companies, from sole traders to multi-nationals, and the recent glittering Award Ceremony recognised the business excellence that is available in the Borough.

 

Gosport-based companies were invited to ‘celebrate their success’ by entering one or more of seven Award categories. The winner of each category was then considered for the coveted ‘Business of the Year’ prize, which this year went to HIT Training Ltd.

 

HIT Training was chosen because of their innovative techniques, passion for Gosport and positive impact on both customers and the local economy.  Their, ‘success isn’t just about business, it’s about people’ ethos has helped address the skills and employment needs of the Gosport workforce, by providing additional resources, using local facilities.

 

Business Manager for HIT, Lester Biddle said “We are delighted to receive this Award, which recognises: - the achievements of HIT; the dedication and commitment from our learners whilst undertaking their qualifications; and the employers who acknowledge the importance of developing and training their workforce to benefit their business in the future.”

 

As well as Business of the Year, HIT Training also scooped the Business Achievement Award.  Other category winners were:

 

  • Customer Service Excellence:       Ash Vehicle Contracts
  • National/International Trade:          Harrington Homes
  • Benefit to the Community:              Fareham Self Drive
  • Most Promising New Business:     Lets Go For Growth
  • Contribution to Tourism:                 Gosport Tourist Information Centre
  • Independent Retailer:                      Dimensions Different

 

Leader of Gosport Council, Cllr Mark Hook commented: “Despite the economic challenges faced by the business community this year, these awards demonstrate the commitment they have to delivering excellence.  I am delighted to publicly acknowledge the contribution these individuals and organisations have made to the economic vitality of the Borough.”
