We all experience problems and sometimes find we are unhappy with things, but it doesn’t always require an 'Official' Customer Complaint to be initiated. Sometimes advice or help is all that's required.
If you are unhappy about any of the services the Council provides to you, then of course we want to know about it to ensure the problem is resolved. But we would ask that you always contact the unit responsible for the service first, giving them the chance to rectify the problem. To do that, simply check out the Problem solving made easy leaflet which lists the various units and the services they provide, along with a contact number.
If after doing this you are still dissatisfied, then please contact the Unit Manager (also shown on the leaflet) who will fully investigate your complaint.
We hope this will have resolved the issue to your complete satisfaction, but if you remain unhappy your next course of action is the official Customer Complaints Procedure, details of which can be found here This can only be initiated after both the department and Manager have first been given the opportunity to resolve things.
