The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out the broad aims and principles of how local residents, businesses and other key stakeholders can be involved in the preparation of the Gosport Local Development Framework and participate in the planning application process. The document applies to the whole of the Gosport Borough administrative area.
The SCI was subject to several rounds of consultation and was examined by an Inspector from the Planning Inspectorate. Following the Examination the Inspector submitted his Report to the Council. The Inspector found that the Statement of Community Involvement was sound subject to some minor amendments. The Council has made the amendments and adopted it on 11th July 2007. A Statement of Adoption has been published giving details where hard copies of the SCI can be viewed.
