WALKING

Solent Walks

Walk every Monday including bank holidays, but not Christmas day.

Various routes around Alverstoke and the route depends on the weather, but it is not suitable for wheelchairs. All welcome. Walk lead by Maureen.

Tuesdays

Every Tuesday (except Christmas Day) 10-30 - 11-30ish at Grange Farm car Park, Little Woodham Lane, Howe Road Rowner. This walk is across the Alver Valley Country Park and is great for nature lovers. Because of the rough path surfaces this walk is not suitable for wheelchairs. Can be a long way from shelter, so if it looks like rain, bring wet weather gear and wear stout shoes. Walk lead by Blaire and Barrie

Saturdays

This walk is on the 3rd Saturday of the month (Except Christmas Day) and takes between 2- 3 hours depending on the route taken.

We meet at 11-00 am at Meon Shore Road (sometimes known as Cliff Road), just along from Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve by the toilets and private chalets at the Western end.

Sometimes we walk to Titchfield and have a snack in the café, but there is a café at the nature reserve centre at the finish.

This is a long walk and sometimes very muddy, please bring waterproofs, wear stout shoes and bring a drink. Walk lead by Keith.

Lee Historic Walk and Talk

The walk will commence at Elmore Car Park Marine Parade East, next to the Fishing Club Compound The route is along Lee Promenade to the Old Swimming Pool Site, returning to Elmore Car Park. Total time is around 90 minutes.

Walks will take place on the first Tuesday each month until October 2011
