SUMMER PLAYSCHEME 2010
Gosport Borough Council
operates FREE, OPEN ACCESS play and sports schemes across Gosport.
Open weekdays only 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm unless otherwise stated, providing
a range of opportunities for girls and boys to choose.
We will be operating at 6
different venues (see below) for a list of facilities and times:-

Please note: all schemes will start on Monday 26th
July 2010 at 2pm
* Swimming activities are
available at selected venues only; see individual scheme programmes for details
of when sessions are on.
N.B. Swimming activities will
not be held on the first or last day of the schemes.
WE DO…
…provide a variety of
stimulating opportunities for the children attending.
…provide guidance and support
to encourage children to participate.
…provide a First Aider,
qualified and experienced staff.
…provide an opportunity for
junior leaders to volunteer.
…take responsibility for
children when they are on our site during our opening hours.
Please Note: Should children choose to leave the scheme or not arrive;
they remain the parent’s responsibility.
WE DO NOT…
…provide childcare whilst the
parent is unavailable.
…provide anything during
12noon – 2pm.
…provide refreshments except
water, so please provide a drink in a plastic container.
…accept liability for loss or
damage to property.
YOU DO NEED…
…to provide consent for
medical assistance in the event of an emergency.
…to provide contact details,
this includes the name of someone to contact if your child is ill, disruptive,
upset or involved in an emergency. The contact is expected to collect the child
immediately.
…to provide information on
medical conditions and special requirements.
Please Note: Consent forms are available at each site and must be
completed on the child’s first visit.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO…
…pre-book a place but a parent consent form must be completed on your first visit.
…bring money – the schemes
are FREE.

additional support, for example extra supervision and / or particular

contact Mark beforehand then arrangements can be made for you and your child.
