To be eligible to rent a hut you must be a Gosport or Lee-On-The-Solent Resident (proof to be provided). The huts are rented on a three year basis and re-entry on the waiting lists, for both sites, can be requested after this period. Rental is due from 1st April to 31st March annually. Charges are £750 per annum for Residents, a Senior Citizen (proof to be provided) rate of £565 per annum and £475 per annum for Disabled Residents (this applies only to the person whose name the Tenancy has been taken out in).
All rates are reviewed annually.
If in the event of a request to terminate the tenancy before the three year period, notice of three months in writing is to be provided to secure a refund of the remaining rental paid.
Disabled residents (proof to be provided) are able to hire a hut at Stokes Bay from May to August at a cost of £16.00 per week (reviewable annually). A refundable security key deposit of £5 is required.
The waiting lists at present are - Stokes Bay five years six months and Lee on the Solent two years nine months; you may be on both lists at the same time.
