The Grant Sub-Board is made up of elected members who are advised by Council officers. They meet four times a year to agree on either capital or revenue grants to be awarded. Applications are received at any time, but are processed by officers one month prior to a meeting. Your attendance at the meeting is required but if you are unable to attend please let us know in advance. The budget available is limited and it is therefore not always possible to financially support all the applications received.
Application Forms need to be returned by the 25th of the preceeding month.
The next scheduled Grant Sub-Board meetings are Wednesday 23rd June 2010, Wednesday 22nd September, Wednesday 17th November 2010 & Wednesday 16th February 2011.
The organisations below received the following grants :-
REVENUE
1) Jacobs Well Family Church awarded £1,300 towards converting the garden area
behind the main church building into allotments.
2) Turning the Tide Charity Swims awarded £960 towards a challenging solo swim
across the Gibraltar Straits from Spain to Morocco for charity. Website

3) Gosport Sharks Network Scouts awarded £500
towards their 10 day expedition to L'Aquila in Italy.
4) Duke of Edinburgh Gosport & Fareham Local Award Committee awarded
£1,170 towards an annual presentation for
successful award participants.
5) Lloyd Vine Leisure Fitness Centre (Individual) awarded £475 towards attendance to the European Power lifting
Championships in May.
CAPITAL
1) 6th Gosport Scout Group awarded £2,000 towards the replacement of the roof of the Scout Group Head Quarters at Acorn
Close, Rowner.
The amount left in the Revenue budget is £45,110
The amount left in the Capital budget is £25,000
