Invoices are sent out to all existing Tenants at the beginning of each year.  


As per Section 30(2) of the Small Holdings and Allotments Act 1908 (as amended) if payment is not received within forty days of the Invoice issue date, Gosport Borough Council will issue a written Notice of Termination of Tenancy Agreement in relation to the unpaid rent of the Allotment Plot concerned.  At the expiration of 28 days after the Notice has been served the Allotment Plot concerned will be reallocated to the next person on the waiting list.



 Q) Who can apply?

 A) Anyone over 18 who lives in the Borough of Gosport can apply for an allotment.

 

  • To show your interest in an allotment you need to either contact Leisure and Corporate Services on 023 9254 5605, write to Community and Customer Services, Gosport Borough Council, Town Hall, Gosport. PO12 1EB.

 

  • PLEASE NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY APPLY FOR THE ALLOTMENT SITES LISTED BELOW ALONGSIDE THE WARD IN WHICH YOU LIVE.

  • You will receive contact details of the site warden or Parks & Landscape Contracts Officer (if the site has no warden) for you to contact and arrange a site visit to choose your plot.

 

  • We will send you two Tenancy Agreements, both of which need signing. Keep one copy for your records and return the other to the above address.

 

 


 

Additional Information

 

  • Enquiries to be made via the Wardens from the detailed Information Boards or direct to Gosport Borough Council on 023 9254 5605.

  • Skips are provided twice per year in October and March.

  • Waiting lists are available for all facilities where all plots are tenanted.

  • Main pathways are Council maintained in liaison with Warden requests.
