Advantages of paying by Direct Debit
Are you in receipt of Housing Benefit?
Can't get used to 5 weeks in some months?
Find it hard to juggle your weekly rent payments?
Then think about using Direct Debit to pay your rent.
-
Your direct debit will be continually monitored. Should your
entitlement to Housing Benefit change, your direct debit can be recalculated
and you will be notified in writing, therefore preventing the build up of
unnecessary arrears.
-
Your direct debit payment will be the same amount each month
on the 1st or the 15th of the month (whichever you
choose), regardless of whether it’s a 4 or 5 week month. In addition, you will still be entitled to
the 4 weeks Rent Free as they will be spread evenly throughout the year.
-
As the monthly payments will be the same amount (unless your
entitlement to Housing Benefit should change), budgeting your finances will be
much easier.
-
If you have rent arrears, these can be spread over a number
of agreed payments making repayment of arrears much easier.

Income Recovery Team on 023 92 54 5286 for more
