World Environment Day

World Environment Day took place on the 5 June 2007 with the theme 'Melting Ice - A Hot Topic?'.  This world event continues to aim to raise awareness of the environment and inspire action.  In order to 'do our bit' Gosport Borough Council are pleased to offer you a number of easy ways of getting involved in this world-wide project - it's never too late to take part so why not consider: (click on any of the following links for further information)

• Joining The Carbon Pledge Project - FREE and easy to do!

• Completing an on-line Home Energy Check questionnaire to find out how energy efficient your home is;

• Downloading 'My Bedroom, My World' poster (for children's bedrooms) - pink or blue available with areas for colouring-in and own special message;

• Insulating your home using one of the many discounted schemes available;

• Following our no-cost tips on energy saving in the home

• Calculating your home's energy and carbon use - calculators
