The 2007 Winter Warmth Road Show - A Huge Success!
Gosport Borough Council is pleased to announce that its seventh Winter Warmth Road Show was a huge success!
From the moment the doors were opened, the Town Hall was bursting at the seams. A grand total of 790 people attended the event with 200 attending the Energy Efficiency Trailer, which was situated on the High Street.
Among many activities, there was Tai Chi being demonstrated in the High Street outside the Town Hall; two Town Hall Criers were walking up and down the High Street all day promoting the event and, Lloyds Pharmacy completed over 50 FREE health checks.
Visitors to the Road Show entered the event via the Climate Dome, a large dome decorated with artwork depicting Climate Change and covered with inflatable penguins. Picture above is Lisa Talbot and Carol White the event Co-Ordinators with just some of the penguins.
Organised by Gosport Borough Council, this FREE annual event aims to bring together local support organisations and charities who can provide useful information and tips on keeping warm, healthy and safe, in a relaxed, friendly and non-pressured way.

Also, Gosport Borough Council: Housing and Council Tax; Energy Efficiency; Concessionary Travel (bus passes); PLUS Question and Answer Sessions throughout the day.
