At Gosport we offer a flexible service for older people. Not only do we provide
Sheltered Housing for residents wanting to remain independent, but we also offer the
Community Lifelines Service.
The Older Persons Services Team manage the sheltered schemes and are based either at the Council's offices or on-site at the schemes.

There is the Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC) which is a national charity
dedicated to helping older people make informed choices about meeting their
housing and care needs.
They have a website www.housingcare.org which offers
information about maintaining, adapting or improving your home; finding care or
home help services; moving to retirement, sheltered or extra care housing, or to
a care home; plus advice on paying for any of these. It is an independent
service delivered by non-profit organisations, led by EAC.
