The Borough Council holds local elections every two years. These elections decide your local councillors, they are elected for a period of four years.

Hampshire County Council elections 2013


County council elections are conducted by the local Returning Officer on behalf of the county. County Council elections take place every four years.

In Gosport we have five county councillors who represent four different parts of the borough.

 

The four divisions are Bridgemary, Hardway, Lee and Leesland and Town, each division has one county councillor representing them, except Leesland and Town which has two. For details of your county councillor please follow this link.

 

European Parliamentary elections are held every 5 years. The next European election is scheduled for 2014.

 

Members of the European Parliament are elected on a regional basis, Gosport comes under the South East region. We have 10 Members of European Parliament representing the South East region, details of who they are can be found here.

 

Parliamentary elections are held every 5 years, the next scheduled Parliamentary election is due to be held in 2015.
