The Economic Prosperity team is involved with a wide range of projects
and initiatives designed to help boost the Borough's economy by
developing skills, creating jobs, improving access to employment and
encouraging inward investment.
The
Section works with local businesses and public sector partners to
develop and fund activities that improve the economic potential and
well-being of local residents, communities and businesses.
Comprehensive information on the range of services, advice and support for businesses available through the Council and its partner organisations can be found on the Borough's 'go-gosport' business and investment website. This also includes information on training, events, development opportunities and an online business directory.
The Section is also involved in initiatives to improve access to employment and skills development for individuals and families who are faced with economic or social disadvantage.
