Gosport Borough Council is responsible for collecting the Council Tax. The main portion of this is distributed to Hampshire County Council, Hampshire Police Authority and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Authority, the remainder is kept by Gosport. This money helps to pay for the services provided throughout the Borough.

A Direct Debit form is also available here. You can also check your council tax account details online by visiting our Citizen Portal.
There is a charge for each domestic property based on it's Valuation band. The person liable to pay is usually the owner or tenant.
