Corporate Policy and Performance Section

This section provides guidance and support to the Chief Executive and Council Management Team on strategic corporate matters. The section's specific areas of focus include Performance Management, consultation, Community Strategy, Equality and Diversity, Community and Voluntary Sector liaison and Children and Young people.

Key activities include:

• Preparation of the Corporate Plan, Performance Plans and related documents.
• Development of performance management systems, including monitoring and measuring progress.
• Corporate Consultations.
• Facilitation of the Community Strategy and Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) by providing support and guidance to the LSP Co-ordinator.
• A corporate approach towards Equality and Diversity.
• Facilitation of the Council's relationship with the Voluntary and Community Sector.
• Support to the Youth Council and the development of the Council's overall approach to Children and Young People.
• Development of corporate policies, guidance and toolkits.
