Complaints may be received verbally or in writing from the principal complainant or from someone acting on their behalf.
CSS will investigate every report of anti-social behaviour and keep the Complainant informed of progress/action taken during the course of the investigation.
CSS will encourage complainants to resolve the difficulties themselves where feasible.
CSS will discuss the issue of confidentiality with the complainant.
Target times will be set for the investigation of complaints
Urgent serious cases concerning violence or the threat of violence will be investigated within 24 hours.
Non-urgent serious cases will be investigated within with in 7 days.
Neighbour disputes will be investigated within 7 days *.
All informants will be sent an anti social behaviour recording form and asked to record incidents over a period of time.
* For neighbour disputes, complainants will be offered advice and mediation.
