This section provides guidance and support to the Gosport Community Safety Partnership and its working groups. In addition, the section also provides guidance and support to the Chief Executive and the Council Management Team on all matters to do with Community Safety. It also co-ordinates multi agency responses to anti social behaviour problems and cases in the Borough and works directly with young people to help to prevent anti social behaviour.
Key activities include:
- Preparation of the Borough Community Safety Plan
- Analysing patterns of crime and anti social behaviour to provide informed recommendations to partnership action groups
- Commissioning services which help to prevent crime and anti social behaviour
- Organising and running community based activities such as ‘CREW’s’ (Crime Reduction Environment Weeks)
